In an earlier post, I shared how my two-year old daughter, JulieAnn (now three, as of June 18), believes she can define reality simply by her declaration. Here are a few more funny examples. Hopefully the humor comes through even without her tone of voice and cute facial expression.
July 2, 2011:
Emma and JulieAnn (back to front) |
Me: “You need to turn your jammie shorts around; they’re backwards.”
July 15, 2011:
JulieAnn was told she could have more pasta if she finished her carrots, including the ones she had spit back onto her plate. (She likes carrots, but you know how tastes change from day to day.) She asked for more pasta. I said, “There’s still carrots in your bowl.”
“No there’s not.” Then, showing her the bowl with carrots in it, “No.”
July 18, 2011:
Me: “JulieAnn, you can’t play the piano right now. Nicole is sleeping” (in the next room).
JA: “No she’s not.”
Me: “Yes, she is.”
JA: “No she’s not.”
How do your kids entertain you?
